Lose Weight with this 1 easy drink!
Losing weight is and can be a challenge.
I struggled with weight-loss when I was in high school, and I found a lot of things that worked for me. My family had started getting into nutrition and I learned about the benefits of detoxing.
We always had these 3 things in the house growing up, and they are the key ingredients to this drink.
Water, Lemon Juice and Apple Cider Vinegar.
This may seem like a sort of strange combo if you are new to the healthy scene, but my dad used to drink a big glass(probably 16oz, featured in the image below) of this stuff everyday.
This mixture has so many benefits. Let’s go over them.
Benefits of Lemon Juice for Weight-loss
Lemon Juice is great to drink first thing right after you wake up. It helps to re-hydrate and rejuvenate your body, as well as help to flush out toxins.
Lemon water is also a good way for those who do not like the taste of plain water to keep hydrated. Drinking water throughout the day helps keep your metabolism in good shape, thus aiding in overall weight-loss or weight stability at a healthy weight.
Apple Cider Vinegar Benefits
ACV has been known to help decrease belly fat. Studies show that Vinegar can help to increase satiety, giving you a feeling of fullness which helps you to eat less. Other benefits of ACV include potential lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and clearer skin/healthier hair and nails.
Benefits of Drinking Water
This one is a no brainer.
We all need water to live. Our bodies are made up of over 60% water. Water does everything from regulating our body temperature, to making organs function properly, keeping us hydrated to keeping our brains healthy. It is one of our most vital nutrients.
Drinking water can help you lose weight.
Drinking enough water(at least 2 liters, or one half-gallon)every day keep’s your body working the way that it was designed to. The way drinking water can help you lose weight is that it helps the kidneys to function properly. When the kidneys are working to their best capacity, they can better flush out unnecessary waste.
An organ that play’s a big part in fat burn is your liver. By keeping yourself hydrated, you help your liver to burn fat. One of the many functions of our liver is fat and carbohydrate metabolism. The bile in your liver breaks down fat and carbs so you can digest them easier. (Your liver can only store about 100gs of Carbs or glycogen, so any excess carbs are stored as fat until the our bodies can use them.)
When your body is dehydrated, it can cause harm to your digestive system. Your bowels need water to stay lubricated and hydrated, and when you drink enough water everything is able to move along a whole lot easier.
This is good for weight loss because it helps your body to naturally pass everything that it is trying to get rid of.
How much should I be drinking?
Ideally you should be drinking around a gallon to two gallons of water per day. Drinking the mixture of Lemon water, Apple Cider Vinegar is best done first thing in the morning. You can drink this mixture a few times a day for best results!
To start, measure with Table spoons. You will want 1 tbs of ACV and 1 tbs Lemon juice in an 8oz glass of water. I have heard some people say that they drink this hot(which I have not tried yet) but I personally drink it cold.
