Finding Peace in life can be tough. For some, its especially hard during this time of year. Finding peace in your day-to-day life is something that can be achieved if we put certain ways of thinking and being into practice.
What is Peace?
My favorite authors and speakers are always people who have been in tough situations, and found a way to smile anyways. They are empowered to believe the best of life, and to create a better day for themselves and others. So what can we do when we are feeling low and down on our luck to find peace?
First, we need to discuss what peace is.
Peace is having no anxiousness in your heart, and finding that space within you that believes in a better tomorrow. The part of you that accepts the way things are without judgement, and has joy in what is.
Peace is not wishing things were a certain way, but accepting things as they are with a hope for the future.
How do we find peace?
There are a lot of ways to find inner peace, but you cannot find it through another person, and you cannot find it in material things. We have to look within ourselves.
Accept that you are human.
Know that that means you are not alone, and that it is okay to mess up.
To find peace, first we need to know where to look.
Finding Peace within yourself.
Peace starts with you. None of us are complete by ourselves, we all need one another. But there is somethings that we all have to work on in order to find peace and happiness, that no one can do for us. Creating a Self-Care routine (we can help you out with that in this article), and finding a practice that keeps you balanced and accountable to yourself are great places to start.
Inner peace is something we make for ourselves, and know in our spirit. We bring something to the table, we are special, important, exciting and lovely. We are enough, and can choose to realize own potential.
That doesn’t make us better than others.
We should not forsake ourselves, because we were created with a purpose, and we are infinitely loved, and are part of a family.
For me, my inner peace comes from God. That is that main source of my peace, knowing that no matter what, I am loved. This is something that is an important part of who I am, and it helps me know everyday that I was created to do awesome things.
You were too!
