21 weeks pregnant

Hello everyone! Welcome to my 21 Weeks pregnancy blog.

I’ve been meaning to get to this post for a while, but have been putting it off.

We have been SO so busy in the last few weeks, but as we get closer to the due date and things keep progressing, I will try to make these blog posts more often.

21 weeks pregnant

21 Weeks pregnancy Baby Facts:

Squish-Bean is now the size of a baby Bok Choy, and is about 10 1/2 inches long.

That feels SO big! Especially since last time I wrote one of these they were only 3 inches long…

What does Squish-Bean like?

  • CHEESE
  • Kicking
  • Rolling around. A LOT.

What does Squish-Bean NOT like?

  • When I get up or move too fast

How is Mama?

Tiiiired.

Other than that, I’ve had more energy than the first trimester FOR SURE.

I usually only really start to get tired about half-way through the day, between 2pm and 4pm, but then I have a little more energy for a while. Also, I get SUPER sleepy when I eat, like halfway through eating food I just want to pass out.

All in all, its not been bad! I have been eating healthy, making sure to get enough fat, protein and greens, and the baby is not protesting to many foods anymore.

Baby bump photo!

This is actually my 20 week baby bump, but I haven’t gotten a more recent picture yet. Baby is growing so much!

Exercise?

Working out has been both easier (because I’m no longer nauseous all day long) and harder (because Squish-Bean is growing so fast). 21 weeks pregnancy exercise is important, the whole 2nd trimester you should really be exercising at least a few times a week. I have been doing some of the Tone It Up prenatal workouts on YouTube, and the last one I did was SO hard! I definitely felt it the next day.

This one below is GREAT if you need a short, fun workout that will engage your legs and arms!

What’s new this week?

We have started getting baby stuff and fixing up the baby room! We got the Target registry mostly done, and it was so fun looking at all the cute baby stuff. It is taking a little while to get the baby room finished, just because we are transforming the office into office/baby room/baby safe environment. It is coming along though!

Physically moving around has been a big strain. My belly is growing a lot faster than it was before, and my hips constantly hurt. Yoga has been helpful, and taking baths usually soothes the sore muscles. I definitely move a little slower these days though.

Baby is also moving a lot now! I’m so happy that we can actually feel them now, last night before bed they were rolling and moving a lot which is so neat to feel. Squish-bean sure is an active little guy (or gal)!

How is prep going?

Fairly well! I don’t think I’ve gotten to the nesting stage just yet, but I am thinking about all the things that need to happen between now and October. I wont be working (at my retail job) after the 1st or 2nd week of Oct since I will be taking Maternity leave, so there is a lot that needs to happen before then with my home business. One of those things being making all of my Holiday candles, and getting everything I need for our December fundraiser. (That only SEEMS like its far off, it’ll be here soon!)

I am keeping in mind that everything has a timing and purpose, and God will take care of all our needs. He takes care of the birds, so I am not worried that He also takes care of us.

We have been getting so much stuff for baby from all the awesome people in our lives, like a car seat, diaper bag, blankets and so much more. Having loving and supportive people in your life is truly the best.

Thank you all for your love and support, see you next time!
