Are you in the process of making your eco friendly household? It doesn’t have to be overwhelming and can be slowly transitioned from synthetic and harmful items to eco friendly alternatives. And it doesn’t have to cost an insane amount! Here’s some of my personal favorites below.

Slow and Steady

Fun idea: Bookmark this page and with each paycheck, you buy yourself one or two things and swap out the old for the new. Not only does it give you something to look forward to, but it makes it very attainable on every budget.

Don’t fall into the consumption trap

One important note – don’t buy things simply because you think you’d use them! That’s how waste is created. Buy an item you already have (and use often) to replace. And consider donating your old items to a local charity near you.

Final Thoughts on Creating an Eco Friendly Household

We don’t write a ton of articles like this because we truly believe in slower living and not just increasing consumption. That being said – as busy humans we have to figure out what is worth the additional time for us, and what we have to purchase. Maybe you’re a superwoman and can do it all from scratch. That’s amazing! Kudos to you. But for those of us that are more in the middle and just want to be more eco friendly and have natural alternatives to everyday items – I hope this list is useful for you.
