How safe is your deodorant?

We work hard, play hard, and need something that is as natural as us to keep us smelling fresh. What non-toxic deodorant brands are there out there? Today I want to show you my top 5 favorite non-toxic deodorant brands, and tell you a little bit about why they are so great.

Alaffia

Alaffia is one of my favorite companies because they are non-GMO, Fair trade, and have the MADE SAFE seal, which means they do not use chemicals or products that are known to harm human health.

They are made without toxins, carcinogens, endocrine disruptors, or any of the nasty stuff that is in most products we use today.

They have lots of different scents for their deodorant, including Lavender & Charcoal, Bergamot & Charcoal, Lemongrass & Charcoal and more.

Alaffia has body care products for women, men and even babies and children.

Every Man Jack

This is a great brand for guys who want to be healthier, while still having their deodorants smell like they want them to.

Every Man Jack is a brand that my husband likes, and they have a great variety of products from hair care to body wash.

Their deodorant line cruelty free, gluten-free, aluminum free, naturally derived, and even recyclable.

You can choose from lots of scents, including Fresh Scent (pictured here), Citrus, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, signature Mint and many more.

Every Man Jack products are available at a lot of different retailers, including Target, Whole Foods, Sprouts, CVS and Wal-Mart.

Schmidt’s

This awesome brand is certified vegan and cruelty-free.

Something really cool about them is their recycling club.

How it works is you recycle 5 or their glass deodorant jars, and ship the lids back to the company, then you get a deodorant of your choice for free!

Their deodorant line is pretty fantastic.

Schmidt’s uses no artificial fragrances, is free of aluminum and parabens, is certified vegan, cruelty free and gluten free.

The Schmidt’s brand deodorant comes in a variety of scents, from Moon Flower (pictured here), Rose Vanilla, Lilly of the Valley, Lavender and Sage, and more.

EO + Everyone

The Everyone for Everybody brand uses pure essential oils in all of their products, from hand soap to deodorant.

Their products are plant based and made with love and dedication using only safe, organic, natural, sustainably farmed ingredients.

Everyone for Everybody has a great line of hand soaps, deodorants, face washes and cleansers, baby and todler care, and even their own essential oil line.

Their deodorant line comes in roll on creams, sprays, and even deodorant wipes.

The Everyone brand deodorant contains no aluminum or other harmful toxins.

They are also cruelty free, synthetic fragrance free, and USDA Certified Organic. This is a brand you can feel good about purchasing for yourself and your family.

Tom’s of Maine

Tom’s of Maine is a great brand, and we consistently use their fluoride-free, sensitive teeth toothpaste.

Their brand uses no animal testing, no artificial colors, flavors, fragrances, or preservatives.

One great thing about their deodorant line is that Tom’s has scents for men as well as women.

A lot of natural deodorants have only neutral or flower scented deodorants, so its always good to see a brand that caters to our men as well as the ladies.

All Tom’s of Maine ingredients are naturally sourced, naturally derived and support the environment with recycled content and recyclable packaging.

They have a line of Deodorant that does not contain aluminium, but NOT ALL of their deodorant in aluminum free.

With anything, make sure to read all the ingredients to make sure you are getting the best product possible.

Important note about the Detox Phase

So you have tried natural deodorant, and say that it doesn’t work. There is a reason for that!

Your body has built up so many toxins in your arm pits from all the aluminum and parabens that they have been soaking up for your whole life.

Now that you are using something natural, your pits are going to start to detox. This will smell like really bad B.O. in some cases. But don’t give up and go back to toxic deodorant!

After about 2-3 weeks, the detox should be done, and you should notice that your new, natural deodorant is working after all.

Anything natural takes time, be sure to wait it out.
