Staying healthy in times of sickness…

It’s early 2020, and its that time again where virus’s and sickness are on the rise. If you want to defend against sickness naturally, I’ve got some good stuff for you today.

Don’t panic.

There are things you can do to keep yourself and your loved ones healthy.

This is by no means a post written by a certified Doctor or Health care practitioner, and this whole post is just my advice on what I think are the best practices for keeping yourself healthy.

Today I am going to share with you how you can keep yourself healthy even when virus’s are spreading like crazy.

How to not get sick

Boosting your immune system

Keeping your immune system boosted is your first line of defense from any illness.

Prevention is the first step to staying healthy and well.

Below I am going to list some things you can take to boost your immune system and defend against sickness naturally.

Supplements you need to be taking

Herbal supplements for viruses

Black Elderberry

Black Elderberry is great for boosting your immune system, and keeping you from getting sick in the first place.

Whenever one of us is feeling under the weather, we take Black Elderberry syrup in orange juice.

This combo is a good kick of Vitamin C, and other vitamins that will keep you feeling your best!

You can also take it in a cold Syrup, lozenge capsule or juice form. For more info on Black Elderberry, check out the two links listed below.

Oregano oil

Oregano oil is the master of all sickness fighting herbs.

Taking oregano is essential to keeping viruses and illness away.

Oregano oil is a super antibacterial herb that can kill off almost any virus or infection.

In this article from Medical News Today, they talk about how Oregano oil can even fight diseases that that will no longer respond to antibiotic treatment.

Get Oregano oil capsules from Amazon here.

Black Seed oil

This little known herb will do wonders if you are feeling under the weather, or just want to keep yourself healthy.

Black Seed oil is packed with antioxidants, and can help fight inflammation. It can also help ease coughs and colds.

Read about Black seed oil, and how it can help boost your immune system.

Keep it Clean people

Wash your hands WITH soap

Wash your hands with soap!

If I’m being honest, also avoid public bathrooms when possible.

Keeping your hands clean will keep you from accidentally touching your mouth or eyes with nasty germs that will get you sick.

Natural Hand Sanitizer

If you don’t know regular hand sanitizer can actually kill all the GOOD bacteria on your skin as well as germs.

Switching to a natural hand sanitizer and keeping it on you at all times is a good line of defense against germs.

You can get Dr. Bronners hand sanitizing spray here, or the Honest Co. also has a good one you can use.

Essential oils

Essential oils for antibacterial

Oregano, Clove, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, and Pine Needle oil are all essential oils that contain anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-septic or anti-inflammatory properties.

Using these oils topically or diffused in your home can help to keep you and your loved ones healthy.

As always with essential oils, use a carrier oil like olive or coconut oil if using topically, and do your research on the effects of each oil before using.

Don’t Lose your Head

worried and stressed

Number one priority: Don’t lose your mind by worrying.

Everything really will be okay, if not at this moment, eventually.

The best you can do is be prepared, and do your best to live without fear.

It’s okay to be worried about the current state of the world, but just try not to.

As Nick Fury said in the first Avengers film:

“Until such a time as the world ends, we will act as though it intents to spin on.”

The worse virus really is fear.

Do your best, forget the rest.
