Why FLO is my new BFF for PMS relief

I used to have debilitatingly painful menstrual cramps.

The kind that I would have to call in from work for, or leave work early because I couldn’t make it through my shift.

Not only that but when my hormones are out of balance I’ve noticed that I have such bad mood swings.

Today, I’m going to tell you how I fixed that, with the help of gummy vitamins.

(This page contains affiliate links and health information. If you want to read more about that check out our disclaimer page)

I needed something for PMS relief

I’ve always had issues with my hormones from the time I got my first period at 12 years old, to having my first child at 25.

Some of the symptoms I’ve dealt with over the past 16 years have been severely painful cramps, heavy periods, painful hormonal acne on my chin, and an irregular cycle I couldn’t count on.

The worst thing about having an irregular cycle is when you get to work, and it starts halfway through your shift and you didn’t bring pads.

So let me be the first to tell you that you’re not alone when it comes to having a horrible period.

I’ve done a few different things to balance my hormones, mostly from diet and supplements. But since having my son, FLO is the one supplement that’s really helped. But we will talk about that in a minute.

(scroll down to skip to the vitamin review)

Periods are normal, but PMS isn’t.

First, let’s talk about PMS and why we have it.

This may seem like a weird sentence, but PMS isn’t normal.

It’s very common, but it isn’t meant to be something we deal with every single month.

PMS is the body’s way of telling us something isn’t right.

Something isn’t normal.

Painful cramps, PMS relief

Premenstrual Syndrome is what a lot of us know as “pre-period week.”

It’s a week filled with raging hormones, fatigue, moodiness, PMS cramps, acne, and just feeling like crap.

And we ladies have to deal with it every single month!

But the reason we have it at all is because of a hormonal imbalance.

Hormone Imbalance and PMS

A hormone imbalance is when one or more of your hormones are depleted or have become dominant over others in a way that is not normal.

A lot of women struggle with estrogen dominance, which can potentially cause symptoms like:

  • Weight gain
  • Decreased libido
  • Irregular or heavy menstrual cycle
  • Fatigue and tiredness
  • Breast swelling or tenderness
  • Bloating

There are quite a few more symptoms of Estrogen Dominance and hormone imbalance, but these are just to name a few.

(I have a full post about the signs of hormonal imbalance, if you are interested you can find that article here.)

So, is it possible to have a period without the pain?

To simply put it, yes.

PMS relief and Hormone Harmony with FLO Vitamins

When our hormones are imbalanced, that’s when we feel all those symptoms we relate to having a period.

But if we are healthy and our hormones are in harmony, we shouldn’t feel many, if any of these symptoms at all during our period or the week prior.

Something I’m doing to fix my hormones and find PMS relief is taking FLO vitamins every day.

You may have heard of FLO PMS gummies before, and originally I wasn’t sure if I thought a gummy vitamin would be enough to fix the hormonal issues I was feeling.

But I have been SO happy with the results.

I am a mama with a 2-year-old boy, and my hormones have been even crazier than regular for the last couple of years.

I started taking FLO about four months ago, and it has helped my mood so much.

As a mom EVERYTHING makes me cry, and I thought that was all just because… I’m a mom.

But before my period, I was kind of getting mean as well. And that is not like me at all.

I would snap at my husband, and be too harsh with my little one. I just felt horrible mentally and emotionally.

Since taking FLO PMS gummies, I can feel my hormones balancing out and I feel less emotional before and during my periods.

It has also helped to regulate my period, and I can track it more easily now!

I haven’t been as fatigued all the time anymore, and I can feel that my energy is getting better.

Also, I LOVE how these gummy vitamins taste!

They have a very smooth texture that is easy to chew and doesn’t stick to your teeth.

The strawberry flavor is really nice, and I look forward to taking these gummies every day.

Ingredients I adore

If you know me, you know that I am PICKY about my supplements and pickier about the ingredients I put in my body.

I have worked in a few different vitamin and supplement stores and have done a lot of extensive research on vitamins, herbs, and supplements.

So when I choose a vitamin and take it every day, it’s because I love the ingredients and know they will benefit my mind and body.

FLO has some really great ingredients like Chasteberry, Dong Quai, Vitamin B6, and Lemon Balm.

Chasteberry (also known as Vitex Agnus-Castus) is great for PMS symptoms because it’s a hormone regulator.

And regulating our hormones is the BEST way to naturally relieve PMS.

Chasteberry has been known to help regulate a hormone called Prolactin.

Less Prolactin means the body can better regulate other hormones, including Estrogen and Testosterone which are responsible for PMS symptoms.

Dong Quai is great for PMS relief because it helps reduce cramps, and regulates estrogen levels in the body.

Lemon Balm is a herb that is typically known for helping with mood and lifting your spirits!

But it also helps with digestion and cramps.

One symptom of PMS that we don’t always think about is its effect on our digestion.

Vitamin B6 is a mood-balancing vitamin, and being deficient in it can cause us to have mood swings, and feel more depressive, and irritable.

Taking a B6 supplement like the one in FLO can help us feel our best and eliminate mood swings!

This is because B6 can help elevate levels of serotonin and dopamine.

Happiness Guaranteed!

One of the BEST parts about FLO and O Positiv products is the Happiness Guarantee.

This means you can try the products risk-free for two months, and if they aren’t a good fit for you, you can get your money back.

Like any holistic health supplement, FLO takes time to get into your system and start working.

You will probably start feeling the effects when you are taking your second bottle.

For me, I always give a supplement the full two months before deciding if it’s working or not.

It’s not just a gummy though…

A lot of women don’t like taking gummy vitamins because of the sugar, and O Positiv thought of that.

If you are someone who would rather take a sugar-free capsule rather than a gummy vitamin, no worries!

FLO has you covered.

I have had such a great experience with Flo for myself, and couldn’t wait to share my review with you. Hopefully this helps you on your own wellness journey, and that you can find hormone harmony as well!
