Lavender as a Calming agent

Using Lavender is a great remedy to help relief stress and put yourself into a calmer state.

You can do this by rubbing a small amount of Lavender essential oil onto your temples, or running a small amount through your hair.

Be careful though, because Lavender is also know to cause drowsiness if applied topically and without other essential oils to balance it out.

Anxiety Relief

You can also use Lavender essential oil for anxiety relief.

One of the best ways I have found to do this is to rub the essential oil into the palms of your hands, and then breathe it in.

Use deep breathes through your nose, hold it for a few seconds and release your breath through your mouth.

Unknown to most people, Lavender can actually help with pain relief.

Lavender essential oil has anti-inflammatory benefits and can help with swelling around the joints.

When using as an anti-inflammatory, massage the affected area with a few drops of undiluted Lavender essential oil.

Doing this a few times a day should help reduce the pain.

Using a few drops of Lavender oil in a hot bath with Epsom salts can also be a great way to sooth sore muscles.
