Shopping Ethical Clothing Brands
Recently, I have become more aware of the impact of Ethical and Sustainable clothing.
If you haven’t heard of the term “fast fashion” before, it means any company that pumps out lots and lots of inexpensive clothing in a fast, unethical way.
These companies typically under-pay their workers, provide unsafe working environments, or use sweatshops.
So on the flip side…
Shopping ethically means researching a companies ethics before purchasing from them.
Ethical and Sustainable clothing brands are more expensive, because they have higher standards, better practices and take care of their workers.

For this list, I am going to start with the least expensive brand, and end with the most expensive brand.
Keep in mind, even the most expensive brand listed here has a wonderful impact on the world.
Pact
Pact’s catch phrase is “Sustainable clothing for all.”
They use guilt-free practices when it comes to the way they make their clothing, and even offer ways that you can recycle or reuse your old clothing and linens.
Pact offers beautiful, organic clothing for women, men, babies and children. They also have a great selection of bedding and linens.
Save Lands
I love, love, love the look and feel of this company.
Save Lands is a environment conscious brand, and with every item purchased, they plant 12 trees.
So far, they have been able to plant 430,000 trees.
That is amazing.
On the purchase page for each item, you will see that all their clothing is sustainably and ethically made, and cruelty free.

Everlane
Ethical factories make a difference when it comes to clothing, but also the lives of the workers.
Everlane spends lots of time finding great factories before they have people start working. They only use factories that have a good working environment, fair wages and reasonable hours for their workers.
The sweater shown below is their soft cotton square crew in Heather Grey.
Alternative Apparel
I went through a lot of ethical clothing sites, and while there are a TON of amazing companies out there, I narrowed it down to the ones I would actually enjoy wearing.
Alternative Apparel has a clothing line that is both hip, and ethical.
With this brand, you will never have to sacrifice style for sustainability.
Alternative Apparel is also very conscious of the impact clothing companies make on the world, and strive to provide high quality, sustainable products to their customers.
They use up-cycled cotton for their products, for a soft, comfortable feel that also helps the environment.
They also use eco-friendly materials like Hemp and Organic Cotton.

Divinius clothing
I LOVE Divinius.
This company is the most expensive, but for good reason.
Divinius is a Humanitarian company, and buying from the helps support pregnant mothers, girl’s and women’s right to education, provide healthcare to those less fortunate, and even helping the environment.
Honestly. that is just a small portion of the things they do to help those in need.

They also have high quality items that will always be in style.
Divinius uses a very classic look with a luxury feel.
Their clothing is not cheaply made, by any means.
And the best part, is with each purchase a part of the proceeds goes to help women in need.

Why choose sustainability?
Choosing sustainable clothing is not about being trendy, or being able to say that you buy expensive clothes.
The point of ethical, sustainable clothing companies is to help others, and change our world for the better.
Join the fight against fast fashion. Choose sustainable, choose ethical.
