Stress is a natural response that protects your mind and body. But too much can be a very bad thing. These natural remedies for anxiety & stress relief are a great option to ease your mind, and help you feel calm.
For me, taking over the counter of prescription med’s is almost never an option.
I don’t make it one for myself.
I know how bad pharmaceutical drugs are on your mind and body. Because of this, I do my best to find natural alternatives when something is wrong.

Lavender oil roller by Revive
Lavender is a staple in our home because it works so well for sleep, and relieving stress, anxiety and tension.
There are many ways to use lavender, but my favorite way is to roll it on my temples before bed or when I’m stressed.
Lavender seriously helps when I’m stressed.
Another cool thing about Lavender oil is it has been shown to help with post-partum depression in new mothers, with twice weekly aromatherapy sessions.

Lemon Balm or Melissa, is an essential oil that is great for anxiety and stress support.
This is a good essential oil for emotional uplifting, as it is known to help with grief and inspire hope.
You can use this oil by rubbing it between your palms, cupping it in your hands and inhaling it through your nose.
This is one of the most effective aromatherapy techniques and works well!
You can also use it in a diffuser for a whole home effect, or topically as desired.

I love tea, and when I’m stressed, tea really helps.
Kava is good for insomnia and anxiety, and helps to release stress from the body.
This makes it a great self care item that you can use before bed to get a good nights rest.

This is a supplement that I started taking when I was in college to help with stress and getting better sleep.

When I take it, I use a few drops in a small cup of lemon water.

Zen – Anxiety & Stress Relief Supplement
There is just something kind of comforting about taking a supplement for the things that ail you.
This herbal supplement called “Zen” is an herbal formula for helping to reduce stress and anxiety, and supporting a more positive mood.
It has adaptogen’s like Ashwagandha and Rhodiola, and natural mood enhancers like Passion Flower and Niacinamide (a form of vitamin B3).
