Movie Night
This is our current favorite at home date night!
We got the idea from a couple friends of ours, and thought we would try it out for ourselves. The first one we did, we bought Gelato and watched Silver Linings Playbook. Such a fun night!
What you’ll need:
- Favorite/new movie to watch
- Snacks!
- Mattress or Comfy couch
We like to pull our mattress into the living room, get our snacks and watch a movie. We have also made a blanket fort in the living room as well, which is fun even when your’e grown ups!
Candle lit dinner
Who say’s you can’t have a romantic dinner date at home?
A tablecloth, candles, a bottle of wine and a good meal are all it takes to set up a lovely, romantic night in.
Also, still get fancy!
Even though you are not going out, going the extra mile by looking nice can make the night seem more special.
And if you don’t want to cook, order in your favorite food!
There is no shame in skipping the dishes.
What you’ll need:
- Candles (or candle)
- Favorite meal (homemade or restaurant takeout)
- Tablecloth
- Fancy clothes
- Wine or sparkling juice/water

Star Gazing
This may not work as well if you live in a super large city, but even in the suburbs star gazing can be fun!
Even if you don’t have a telescope, going out in the backyard after dark and looking up at the night sky can be so relaxing, and be a fun bonding activity.
What you’ll need:
- Blanket
- Telescope (optional)
- Snacks!
Backyard fun
Something we did recently was going out to the backyard and doing archery together. We used to take lessons, and happened to have our own equipment to set up a mini range in our yard!
We also have a hammock outside, and sitting together looking up at the sky and trees is so relaxing.
Take some time to plan something fun outside!
You could set up a mini golf course, read together, play volleyball or soccer together, or have a picnic and lay out under the sky.
The fresh air will be good for you, and it is just so much fun to be together outside!
What you’ll need:
- a good imagination!
- Blanket/hammock/picnic table
- a game or ball
- food and drinks

Coffee Date
The classic coffee date!
This is an easy, fun, at home date night idea that you can’t go wrong with.
Make up a big pot of your favorite coffee, and get the stuff you need to make it exactly how you want it!
A favorite of mine is getting coconut dairy free whipped topping and adding some Four Sigmatic Reishi hot chocolate mix to mine, and just a hint of sea salt.
If you like your coffee black, that works too! (It’s better for you that way anyways.)
Whether sitting out in the backyard, on your porch, or snuggled up on the couch, this is always a fun date.
What you’ll need:
- Your favorite coffee
- Your favorite mug
- Creamer or toppings of choice
If you try any of these, let us know in the comments!
